The following steps should be practiced right before bed:

Step 1: Calm your mind. You have 11,000 thoughts racing through your mind per minute. However, you need to focus on one. You will calm your mind by closing your eyes and focusing on your breathing. The reason behind closing your eyes is to shut out any distractions that’s around you. If you feel that you will fall asleep during this exercise then feel free to do it sitting up. Once you are ready, close your eyes. Slowly inhale while counting to four. Hold your breath in and release it while counting to four. I recommend that you repeat this exercise at least six times. The goal is to minimize any unrelated thoughts on your mind.

Step 2: Set Your Intentions. What do you want? In your case, you want to receive a text message or call from someone specific. Gather your thoughts on your exact intention. For example, you can say, “I want Paul to text me so we can talk.” Always have a purpose as to why you want something. Tell the universe what you want out loud. It’s that simple. You don’t have to get into the specifics. The universe will figure out how to make it happen. You don’t have to repeat it. Your wish was received.

Step 3: Visualize the end result. Some may refer to visualization as daydreaming. I like to refer to it as mini movies about what I want. You don’t have to worry about The Who, what, when, or how. Just visualize yourself receiving the text message. Visualize their face. Visualize yourself holding your phone. Visualize the notification coming through with their name. Smile (literally) . How do you feel about getting the text from them? Are you happy? Are you excited? What does the text say? What are you saying back to them? You want to literally feel the emotions of receiving this text. It’s okay to literally smile. It will help raise your frequency to bring this desire into fruition.

I want you to take it a step further. I want you to visualize meeting up with this person after receiving the text message. This will help secure the conversation going well.

Step 4: Get into the gratitude mode. What is the gratitude mode? This is the step where you become grateful for everything you have in your life. It doesn’t have to be related to the person you are trying to manifest. Tell the universe what you’re grateful for – just like on Thanksgiving. Some examples would be:

  • I am grateful for my family
  • I am grateful for my friends
  • I am grateful for my income
  • I am grateful for my children
  • I am grateful for the city I live in
  • I am grateful for another day
  • I am grateful for the food I get to eat
  • I am grateful for my peace of mind
  • I am grateful for the little things
  • I am grateful for the people who love me
  • I am grateful for the people who want to talk to me

By doing so, you are raising your vibrations to get into the receiving mode of abundance. You can’t feel bad and expect good to come into your life. To get what you want, you have to feel good before it comes.

Step 5: Expect it to happen. The law of expectation isn’t talked about enough in the spiritual community. The law of expectation states that we get what we expect to happen to us – good or bad. If you expect for something not to happen then it won’t. If you expect for something to happen then it will. Know for a fact that you will receive this call or text for this person when the universe is ready to deliver it. It’s going to happen!

Step 6: Let it go. Keep your mind off of it throughout the day. Focus on anything positive. Focus on fun times with your family and friends. Focus on work. Focus on anything positive that will keep your mind off of the text. The universe can’t deliver your desire to you if you’re holding it hostage. It will come at the very moment you least expect it.
